I think they will be better this year because they picked up eric moulds so David Carr will have another good receiver to compliment Andre Johnson who was hurt most of last season as well as their best running back also. They made a few good defensive aquisitions along with drafting Mario Williams so they will win 9 or 10 games in my opinion but they need alot better play from their offensive line because that line was terrible last season.

They've improved - but not enough to win 10 games. David Carr has a long way to go before he becomes a good NFL quarterback.
They have the worst defense in the league - except for possibly the Raiders. Their offensive line can't protect Carr (Or whoever the QB is after he gets hurt.). And they play a brutal schedule that includes: Dallas, Washington, Philly, N.Y. Giants, Miami, New England, plus Indy, Jacksonville and Tennessee twice each. I can't see them winning a game until week 11 vs. Buffalo. They'll be lucky to win 3 or 4 games all year, at the most.

Just a quick note for you. I don't know about 10 wins but, I'm saying somewhere between 7 and 9. New coaches, new schemes, that's 3 to 5 wins alone. Above average acquisitions in the off season, i.e., Mario Williams, Anthony Weaver, Charles Spencer, DeMeco Ryans, Eric Moulds, Dexter mcCleon, Kevin Walter, Derick Lewis, Ephraim Salaam, Sage Rosenfelds, Walli Lundy. The list goes on and on. It is evident to me that the Texans have something right now that they believe in and I firmly believe that everyone has bought into it/ the system and it has already began to show. You are so right, they are going to be good, really good, really fast.

Not getting this either. They are in with the Colts and the Jaguars who are light years better than they are. Carr is still unproven; their offensive line has stunk for years and they still dont' have a true #1 RB that has stepped up to the plate.
Besides that, Johnson has been terrible at times at WR. Their defense has made some nice improvements but a 5-6 win season is realistic.

If they played in the NFC, I might agree with you, but 10 wins for the Texans won't happen in the AFC. They'll be much, much better than they were last year, and I like this team going forward, but I'd bet on between 6-8 wins this season.

I feel really sorry for David Carr---I can't believe he hasn't turned into Joey Harrington yet, he must be playing on his own grit and talent then. But getting Eric Moulds was huge, along with Jeb Putzier and C Mike Flanagan, and he'll take a big step foward, and the team has nowhere to go but up

I hope they do better than the have in the past. I really like Carr and think he would be a good QB if he had a better team. I don't think they can beat out, Indy and Jacksonville. It would be tough because I don't think they could even try for the wildcard this year.

Cash, 3-5 wins just on Coachs and Scheme? What? Right just change your coach and you win twice as many games. LOL Who is playing RB for them this year? Dom is done as an everydown back. Preseason means crap. 7-9 tops.
