The question is do you want to have two different computers running the two different monitors or the one computer that uses both monitors?

If you want the one computer and two monitors approach then you either need TWO graphics cards or ONE graphics card that has two VGA outputs on it.

Install the graphics cards and then right click on the desktop and I think the second tab from the right is the window that deals with using multiple moniutors on your computer. And you can set them up so that you can have them in the two locations you want them to be, and then they act as one screen which you can drag your programs onto so that you can have two of them open at the same time on different monitors.

I think I understand what you are getting at. Yes, if you have a video card with two outputs, you can have two monitors on one computer. If you use Windows XP, check out the link in my sources for more info.

yes, you can bring up a different program on each monitor. It is the same as having two programs open on your PC, but instead of having one minimized while looking at the other, you simply have one showing on one screen and the other on the othe screen.

yes there is a way. I would have to know more about your computer for an exact answer.
I suggest you go to your local computer store and ask about an "All In Wonder" card or similar.
You will need your computer make / model and any other info. you have on it.
Type; All In Wonder in your Yahoo search bar to get some basic info. on it.

I've seen it done. Weathermen do it all the time, but they have big computers and it takes two hard drives. one to run each monitor
