Well, I don't think there is a major for being a surgeon or a pediatrician in most colleges. So you would end up going through a pre-medicine program. Some colleges offer pre-med as a major, and others would require you to get a major in addition to going through the pre-med program if you want to be a doctor. A pre-med program would require a year of biology, a year of introductory chemistry/inorganic chemistry, a year of organic chemistry, and a year of physics. And I think most pre-med programs (and/or medical schools) would require a year of calculus and a couple of English or communications courses. And then there are science courses beyond that A lot of people might major in biology or chemistry, although that's not necessary.

After college, you would go to four years of medical school. After that you would do a residency, which is like practice in the specialty of medicine that you have chosen. Specialties would be like surgery or pediatrics.

Most colleges don't offer programs for interior decorating. So I guess the closest you would get to that is an Art major at most universities. A few colleges might have design schools where you might take other courses that might relate to interior design, but I wouldn't know of any.

Um..I think you're thinking about going "pre-med" for the first two. You can also major in ANYTHING to get into med school, as long as you take the prerequisites (chem, bio, physics etc. etc). The specialty (surgeon and pediatrician) will come after med school. Interior design is just interior design.

When you want to be a surgeon or a pediatrician you need to major in pre-med or biochemistry or something like that then you go on to medical school. You can major in anything for interior design. But maybe you want to do fashion or something similar to that. Best of luck! You can do it!

Stephens College in Columbia, MO has both Biology (pre-med) and Interior Design majors. If you went there you could take a little of both and then decide what you wanted to major in.
