From CNN: "The suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey sat in business class and dined on pate, shrimp and champagne with the government picking up the tab for the 15-hour flight. But experts say it could be a good investment for prosecutors."

Ummm...the government picking up the tab?! LOL!! That translates to, the tax-payers of America picking up the tab!!!

I don't care if he's actually guilty of killing that child, or just some freak looking for attention.

Facts are facts...this is just wrong.

umm.."rusk"...I believe I made my point pretty clear, here. I don't care WHY they did it. It just sickens me that they did!
Mysterious deaths occur every day...if the people are lucky enough to have it picked up by the press, well, that seems to make all the difference.
I'm sorry for the Ramsey family. Their pain hits closer to home than you could ever imagine.
I just wish the govt. would have tried to "loosen up" the last person to see my late husband alive---then, 15 years later, we might have some answers.

Woops! Didn't mean to post that link w/ no explanation!
I'm the widow of Roger Blair.
It's a nice story of hypothermia & all...but it's a crock.
The man who was the last person to see Rog alive, is roaming around w/out a care in the world.
I guess maybe he got some pate & shrimp, as well....

According to the article that I just read on CNN, they did it because they were hoping he would loosen up and 'talk'. I don't think the government was paying for him to get great treatment because they thought he was wonderful. Think about it.

In reply to your additional comments.

I'm not saying what they did was right. I think it was smart to put him in business class and keep him away from the general population on that plane. If you were on that plane, would you be comfortable knowing he was on there? Or would you want him away from you? The majority of people can't afford a business class ticket. Personally, I agree with one of the others when they said he should be shipped with the animals.

Sunny,

The entire JonBenet Ramsey
situation has been quite troublesome,
sad, and very discouraging from the
get go. It's stayed with me for a very
long time, and then you let go.
And now, this freak comes into
the 'spotlight' -- once again, nothing
adds up.

Can you imagine how the people on
that flight must have felt!
I would ask for a complete refund,
from the government
for undue stress and exposure!

So strange. No?

Yeah, and the sad thing is, there are tons of discrepancies in his story, and they seem to doubt he's the killer. What he did was get himself into a shitload of trouble over there where he was, and this 'confession' happened to be a free ticket back here to the states, where he will be cleared of this murder he didn't commit, and allowed to run free again and go back into hiding and avoid paying for his crimes on the other side of the globe. What a flake.

im not so sure he did anything. im waiting for news on that DNA test. he looks shady and completely indifferent to the whole thing, as if he had just announced something mundane. absolutely NO emotion in his dead eyes. No fear of his fate, no pide in his deed (if he did it).

makes ya wonder.

as for "picking up the tab".
are you surprised? our government does things like this all the time. and not just for criminals. the government uses tax dollars to fund a lot of horrible things.
i have a blog about religious discrimination in the work place that is paid for with tax payers money, and PROMOTED by Bush.
lots and lots of money wasted on crap dear!

yep, he's a creep enjoying the luxuries of the working class of America... then again, lots of people in American who don't work seem to enjoy many luxuries that workers can't even afford to enjoy themselves... (the unemployed who actually deserve the gov't support and help get a bad wrap because of people cheating the system)

I absolutely despise politics & economy issues.... it's nothing but hypocracy & double standards....

I say ship him home in the baggage compartment with the other animals...If the other animals don't mind...and let him consider himself lucky to get bread and water. That's more than MY TAXES should go for!!! (I guess shipping him home in a wheel well would be unconstitutional.)

Well, it would be the most secure area of the plane. Being able to transport him safely would be the better option. Anyway, food would have been a part of the ticket. There would not be extra costs with that.
