Totally agree with you. People should really care more about educating themselves on the issues at hand so that they can make an informed decision. Rather than spend their time bashing others. Most of the bashers on this site (both sides) have no clue as to what is really going on in the world or our government.

If life were so simple, right.
its more complicated, or else Dennis Kisiniche would be president, or Howard Dean, or no republican would ever be voted into office again.
With Kerry it was mistake to pick a guy who wasn't our best.
was he the best bet to beat a weak republican incumbent? There was a process and the process said he was.
so did all the exit polling...and most likely about 88% of spoiled ballots that were contested and not counted. But back to the question.
according to the process a former drunk, coke head, DUI convicted, failed buisness man, who's grandfather made money off the Nazi's is the best choice for the republican party.
i don't know if the process works.
but to be honest with our state, one of the few states that really matters didn't have a say in it to the end. Primaires are riduculous, and the adding of Nevada is interesting we'll have to wait and see.
Besides i don't bash, i pummel with information.
i am not sick of lib anything, in fact the more we speak up against disinformation and distrotion of fact by the other side, the better off everyone including you will be.
Like plato says your eyes can't see to good because you've been in the dark.
honey ,come out of the republican cave.

The major parties have their differences, sure and you cant expect people in this forum to have any type of tact whatsoever. The bashing is just a reflection of their lack of education and most are only parroting what they may hear in the news. Ever notice how the politicians can get into heated arguments but at the end of the day they can smile and look each other in the eye. Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy.

It bothers me that everyone assumes Dems are all of one stripe, generally tree-hugging, fur-bashing communists. I mean, I know Repubs who are reasonable people and not nazis or fascists.
I can't stand extremists of ANY type. To me, there's not a whole lot of difference between, Al Franken, Rush Limbaugh, and Osama bin Laden.
I would be happy to see ALL of those loudmouths gone.

The only difference between the democratic party and the republican party right now, is where they get their funding from.

I certainly know the difference. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out either. How high do our taxes have to go, before the democrats stop raising them? I'll tell you. They can never go too high. They could tax us 100%, and still figure out ways to tax more. The disease started with fdr. I hate socialism.
