Big problem with Freedom of the Press now days is that the news segment has to be as competitively profitable as the Used Car Section of the daily newspaper. If it is not, then the profit committee of the privately owned TV Network hires someone like Russ Limpbow to spout insanity.
It is a very serious problem for a democracy because who is going to inform the citizens when the moneyed corporations own the media and also strongly support the Republican Party and the Bush's?
Maybe George Bush had the right idea when he hired a phony reporter to ask preplanned questions at the new conferences, Bush seemed to really enjoy it and had a ten minute answers ready that seemed both sincere and wise.
When Gore is hired in 08 to be President, maybe we could get Hillary Clinton hired as a reporter for the New Your Times and have her asking question of the New President.
What do you think?

Because Yahoo news is wise enough to realize Judge Taylor is only one Federal judge (a Jimmy Carter appointed proven liberal at that) with only one opinion that is most certainly going to be overturned. It's her "15 minutes of fame". No different than so many others ahead of her that sought glory and recognition when they thought the time was right, only to realize how foolish they were in the long run.
What people (and organizations) won't do the get recognition. Sometimes even ask foolish questions on Yahoo answers.

Ask who owns Yahoo? Who has controlling or majority investor interest? Most information on the planet is controlled by a small, elite group of people. Why doesn't NPR ever report on Walmart's abuses? Because they receive LOTS of funding from Walmart! Which is a shame, cause I really respect NPR (National Public Radio...Mandelit del Barco...what a beautiful voice! Sigh...)
On a darker note, we'll never know what govenmental goon squads visit Yahoo CEO houses in a swanky California suburb in the dark of night armed with stuff best left to Scorcese and nightmares. Heck, here's to hoping they don't visit your or my door tonight!!!!

Another one of Jimmy Carter's fine appointees (Anna Diggs bin Taylor). His blunders still continue to plague us until this day. After all he his the one who handed Iran to Ayatollah Khomeini on a silver platter in1979. Look what that got us!

If you have nothing to hide why would you care? I would rather have them to find terrorist then to have another 9/11, remember they only have certain words that get flagged, like bomb, explosives and stuff like that.
