Iran said they will respond to sanctions and whatnot on that day (August 22nd) over their nuclear program. It is thought that they make launch nukes on that day.. possibly attack our troops in Iraq or nuke Israel like they have been threatening to do. Anyone worried?

The media has done a good job keeping this quiet. Whatever Iran does Iran does. If they do something stupid then there will be serious consequences.

There is no chance they have nukes yet. We've had IAEA inspectors there, we know how the centrifuge technology they're using works, as well as how long it takes to enrich uranium, and the most pessimistic estimates run in the range of two years for them to develop a bomb, assuming everything works absolutely perfectly. A more realistic assessment is more like 5-10 years.
Granted, this isn't forever, and we need to address this problem now and not in 5-10 years, but let's not panic because of some post you read on Yahoo answers.

Why would a country set a time table when attacking? The only way to devastate a country is by surprise attack, not "Hey on August 22, you will see me do something bad to you".. think dowg.
PLUS, I wouldn't care if the entire Middle East destroys each other, at least the rest of the world would have a chance to be heard and get the reporter's attention when the Middle East vanishes.

Well two things could happen.
1. A nuclear attack will be launched on Israel.
2. They will submit to the sanctions, and will build nuclear power plants and everything will be A. O. K.
I suppose both could happen too.

Well there's nothing that we can do about it if they do, so what good is worrying going to do? At the rate this **** keeps going someones bound to use Nukes eventually, and that will be the end of the world as we know it, not necessarily the end of the world, just the end of the world as we know it, read revelations
