I got my assets frozen over a bounced check when I paid for this lap top... Which really sucked, because when they got around to freezing my assets, I had enough money in the buy TWO, so I thought it couldn't have been the lap top, or they'd just have taken the money.
Then this twitchy bitty (tB) lady kept calling me from New York or some place, and leaving threatening messages about case (String of numbers) and how I should know what it was about, but she couldn't say over the phone unless we talked in person...
but I was in Hawaii, with like six time zones between us, so she'd start calling me at about two AM (When I kept my cell phone off anyway) leaving all these threatening messages and telling me to pick up the phone because she knows I'm there, blah blah blah. and since I can't use my cell phone at work, I'd try calling her back as soon as I got off at three, and she was long gone.
Finally one day, I had a dentist appointment in the morning, and I was trying to call her the whole time, but she wasn't answering. Then when I was done she called me while I was on the crapper, and I told her to just try and cash the check again, because I had all this money in my account, and she wouldn't believe me, and accused me of avoiding her calls for three days, and how I must be living in queens, and she'd find my house, and drag me right to court with a gun behind my head, and I told her again to just cash the check.
I guess she had the check right there, because all of a sudden she's like "Oh, so it is." and she wanted to small talk with me and stuff all of a sudden.
Whatever. Great laptop. Remind me not to go on drunken carouses after large purchases like that...

I bought an awesome bass guitar and amp that I never play years ago. Financed it with high interest rates, eventually paying it off. I still don't play it, but I keep it around to remind me not to make stupid purchases.
