Aspirin is more likely to make you bleed because it thins the blood. People on prescription blood thinners or those who are prone to bleeding ulcers ( or bleeding anywhere in their body) should not take aspirin. Tylenol is safer for this reason although in large doses over a long period of time Tylenol can damage the liver. Also, unless okayed by a physician, aspirin and aspirin-containing products should not be given to children because of a serious, avoidable, rare condition it can cause called Reye's Syndrome.

Aspirin is very hard on the stomach and some people have no tolerance for it. Tylenol on the other hand, does not give you a tummy ache. Aspirin is also used to prevent blood clots, to thin your blood. For example, if you are going to have an operation you cannot take aspirin because of the risk of bleeding.

Tylenol is recommended by most physicians. Aspirin is used if you are taking it for your heart. Tylenol goes through the liver when taken. Ibuprofen passes through the kidneys so which ever it needs to be altered so it want damage one or the other. However, aspirin does cause stomach trouble and if you have a ulcer it is recommended not to take aspirin. Hope this helped.

I have heard that aspirin can be very harmful to your stomach
and liver area if taken on a regular basis. I had taken aspirin
for a long time and just about killed my stomach out of my
body. Til this day if i even take one aspirin it could do me alot
of harm. So i take tylenol, with no problems at all.

There is no reason an ADULT can't take either. Often aspirin takes care of general pain, (headaches...) but Tylenol is good is you have the bad flu and have chills and discomfort and fever. Tylenol is better at reducing fever.
and CHILDREN MUST NOT TAKE ASPIRIN. there is a huge connection with Reyes syndrome so Tylenol is safe.
aspirin is also used for cardiac patients.

Aspirin is a good product but frequent use can irritate the lining of the stomach. Also, aspirin has anticoagulant properties and thus can cause prolonged bleeding and even hemorrhage.
To the one named Sophia, aspirin doesn't contain ASA. This is an abbreviation we use for aspirin because it's also the abbreviation for the chemical that IS aspirin - acetylsalicylic acid.

Tylenol is acetaminophen. Aspirin can't be taken during pregnancy and it's hard on the stomach.

I never ever take aspirin and never give it to children...I dont trust Ibuprofen either...both can cause some serious things in kids, and both are upsetting to stomachs...if you have an ulcer or any stomach problems you shouldn't take either of those.
Aspirin is a blood thinner too. IT contains ASA.
Tylenol is a much safer product for kids and adults alike and the ONLY medication I take....and only when needed...I have to have a migraine or something before I take any kind of pill.

Asprin can be really bad on stomachs, but it is a good pain reliever, hence so many of them are now coated.
And even between Tylenol and Advil some may work for one person better than another.

Some people are allergic to aspirin, but I think for some people it is just a personal preference.
