It seems to be working now since you were able to ask a question!

Unplug it and plug it back up when the computer is turned off. I have had a problem when I moved my computer. I hooked the keyboard and mouse in after turning it on and had to turn the comp off and hook it back in.

Simply unplug and then replug your keyboard. It should work fine. As for your password, try the password you had before. Simply unplugging the computer does not force a new password.

I agree totally with the one correct answer here so take note!!!
All you have to do is Unplug your Keyboard, then Plug it back in...Plug & Play will see this and use it...then you can type away...This goes for most all perpetuals that are connected to your Tower...mouse, etc...

Sounds like you unpluged more than just the power cable.

Inspect all cables to make sure you didn't dislodge anything else.

As far as it asking for a password now, I don't know why it would suddenly do this -- possibly a corrupted OS file.

Do you have a mini-receiver for your wireless keyboard? Try unplug then replug receiver to see if things re-synch. Do it with computer and keyboard on.
