This forum is so helpful I will be asking alot of school related questions. For responses please keep in mind that I am a COLLEGE FRESHMAN. I started writing my sentence outline and my teacher gave the class an example of one but it is not that could. Can anybody offer some help, or give me a more detailed example of a sentence outline.

How to write a sentence outline
The outline should have the following form:
Abstract: The abstract contains a few, carefully written sentences summarizing the major points in the paper. It is followed by a list of (preferably numbered) sentences that summarize the major points of paragraphs in the paper.
Each sentence must be a sentence -- that is, it has a subject ("each sentence"), a verb ("must be"), and a complement ("a sentence").
The sentence should be as specific as possible so that the main points/features of the paragraph are clear.
Each sentence is the "topic sentence*" of the paragraph and usually appears as the first sentence of the paragraph.
If one numbered item contains two sentences, make sure you are not squeezing two paragraphs into one. For a paper of n double-spaced pages, there should be 2n to 3n paragraphs.
The sentences should be organized to construct coherent arguments toward your paper's conclusions.
There must an introductory paragraph that sets the paper in context; in this paragraph the topic sentence can be at the end.
Generally, the next paragraph presents the principal results or conclusions to be presented in the text of the paper.
The final paragraph should deftly summarize only the results defended in the body of the paper.
The outline should be double spaced.
For this course, you should include at the end the most important references you will use. These can be cited in individual sentences of the outline, if you want, to make clear where they are relevant.

Orientational Ordering and Orientational Transition in C60 Crystals
Abstract: Solid C60 forms a fcc structure at room temperature, in which the molecules exhibit orientational disorder. At 255 K the molecules develop orientational order via a first order phase transition to a sc lattice. Below the transition the molecules jump between symmetry-equivalent orientations. The transition temperature increases with pressure. Similar effects are seen in C70.
The identification of the molecular structure of C60 and its subsequent synthesis and separation in solid form have generated interest in this form of carbon which possesses many exciting properties.
The structure and the dynamics of solid C60 are important for understanding its other properties.
The basic results: There are two different phases of C60 with the transition temperature about 255 K. The transition is a first-order one.
The structure of C60 at room temperature is fcc, in which the molecules exhibit dynamic orientational disorder.
X-ray diffraction measurements reveal a phase transition from the fcc phase to a low-temperature phase. In the transition there is a jump in lattice parameter jump.
The low-temperature phase is an orientationally ordered sc structure (Pa3).
Calorimetry measurements confirm that the transition is first-order.
Below the transition the molecules jump between symmetry-equivalent orientations.
The behavior at the phase transition is strongly influenced by trace impurities and solvent.
The transition has been probed by dynamical techniques (NMR, Raman scattering).
Increasing pressure both increase the transition temperature and reduces orientational fluctuations of the C60 molecules in the low-temperature phase.
The Young's modulus has an 8% jump at the transition.
There is a similar phase transition in solid C70 with a hysteresis in the transition temperature.
This paragraph summarizes the main points of the paper.

I in no way double spaced an outline yet our instructors were paper moral experience. no favor to waste the tress. i'd keep a replica of both purely in the journey that your instructor has a decision- extra constructive to be danger-free than sorry.
