Boulder Police Chief Tom Koby said back in 1997 “The less you know the easier it is to give advice.” I guess that holds true with opinions as well. The media is in a feeding frenzy that borders on insanity. Consider the future: Will anyone claim their partial responsibility for steering the mind of some twisted youngster who may grow up to seek his “infamy” one day? To fill our homes with speculation on this guy will only feed some errant seed within someone who wants that kind of attention. In other words, the coverage is not just redundant and speculative it’s irresponsible. It would make sense for our culture to give a moment’s notice to some sicko and then move on. It would make sense to report the facts, as best as they are known, and then wait for more facts.

There is no professional jounalism anymore. They feed us needless info because it embellishes whatever slanted story they are weaving in search of a ratings boost. Also, little things like FACTS are thrown out and not mentioned if they interfere with the slant of the story.
