Time and Patience the hurt will go away after a while but don't get confused and try to replace it with another, look at what happened and learn from it and take it with you LOVE YOURSELF and love will find you

A very empty feeling. Not good.
Depends on the reason. If you are a dumpee, time and realization that it is better to know where you stand than to be lead on. You need to know that it will be better and the sooner you find new direction, the sooner it will go away.
If it is death. Time.
Sorry anyone has to feel broken hearted. But everyone goes through this at some point for some reason.
