If your pny is 2.0, then check your Device Manager and make sure your USB is 2.0 Compliant, if not then you will need to update your USB to recognize 2.0.. Good Luck
UPDATE:
uqlue42, Their is a Win2000 Pro Version, I am looking at my CD Now as I type... It's Mainly a Administrative Version of Win2000.
And Guys if you ever format a Flashdrive, DO NOT FORMAT in NTFS, only FAT, FAT16, or FAT32..... NTFS can damage the file structure of a flashdrive, All OS's can read the FAT Version just Fine when formatted, Most have a problem with the NTFS Though.. just some FYI

There is no 2k pro. just 2k. 2k is a business OS based on NT4. There is an XP Pro.
If it doesn't detect the drive try a different USB/Firewire connection (that USB connection may be overloaded)
Also check for OS patches and drivers from PNY's website.

hey, flashdrives are designed to work with xp with no drivers. But with 2000 or 98, you have to have a driver installed first.
You should be able to find it from PNY s website....
