I am writing a RP game and want to use the spell in the films for the Witch and Wizard class, but I don't know if it will be a breach of copyright. Help Anyone?

I know the books are copyrighted but some of the spells don't appear in the books only in the films. To me it sounds like it's Latin or Latin variation. But I don't know any so not exactly sure.
I don't intend to sell it I intend to make it and let anyone use it for basis of their own game world.

The Books are copyrighted.
The Movies are copyrighted.
Therefore their contents are copyrighted.
But it doesn't matter unless you are selling it.

Yes. It is absolutely a breach of copyright to do this. Unless you give the game away for free AND indicate that the spells are from Harry Potter (c).

If the book is copyrighted the spells must be. Though if you write a fan fic its a different story!

Spell any body can make.It came down through ages.No body can prevent you from trying. But spells are humbug.Copy right comes only when you copy, sell and use for commercial purposes. If you genuinely sit at home and try spell no body or law come to prevent it.But donot advertise, copy or sell it.
The effect of spell is only psychological.
