There is nothing wrong with it, if it's something you enjoy. The downside is you get no respect from people who have their morals stuffed up their booties with their bibles, and you tend to see the worst side of men.
Exotic dancing wouldn't be looked down on so much if the customers didn't spend their rent/mortgage/childrens college funds on the dancers trying to get laid (maybe 5% of them ever do) and if the clubs where they work treated the dancers with a lot more respect.

It's not about doing more good things than bad things. Your confession would be invalid because you are not really sorry for doing it. You're not really sorry for doing it because you aren't planning to stop or to try to stop. For a Confession to be valid, you would therefore need to have Contrition--which is sorrow for hurting God--or Attrition--which is fear of Hell--AND Repentance--which is trying NOT to do it again. Stripping and Erotic dancing is a MORTAL (therefore grave danger of Hell if you die) sin for a few reasons: 1. Immodesty--your body should only be for the viewing pleasure of your husband. 2. Causing temptation 3. Causing others to sin--by your actions, you are causing other men to be lustful, most likely masturbate and to use you as an object. You do not want others sins on your soul because of your actions. Get out of this as fast as you can. ------------------------- Added: You're playing with fire if you want to make a living doing it and then stopping. You should read some stories about strippers who started with that mentality and then found that they couldn't get out. Did you know that about 50-70% of strippers become prostitutes? It's even higher in areas that prostitution is legal or acceptable--most strip bosses run this as a side business and pressure the girls into it. It's hard to get out of when you get in. Don't even take that chance.

It is wrong. Many women can find no other job where they can earn that kind of money. Not all the women who are strippers are prostitutes and into drugs. But many of them are. It is a job women should stay away from. There are also men strippers too. It takes a lot of stamina to be up there dancing like that for 3 to 5 minutes. And to handle the type of people that come into those places.
I know women who have gone into stripping because at the time they could not find any job. It is not for me to judge that they are good or bad.

Stripping in and of itself isn't wrong. It doesn't always lead to prostitution and drug use. I know several women who have put themselves through college by stripping, and none of them have resorted to prostitution or drug use. As with everything in life there comes a time to make choices. Some who are weak minded may choose to go the "easy" route and do drugs. Some may choose the route where they see "fast" money and choose prostitution. What it all boils down to in the end is what type of person you are, your strength of will, your reasoning for doing what you do and how you handle choices when they are presented to you.

I'm not sure about the drug use, and this is only my opinion, but if a woman is willing to bare her body as a stripper, she is most likely motivated by money. If she's willing to strip for money, it's only another step downward to get money for prostitution.
Is it wrong? In my opinion, yes, because it is to gain money based on just your physical body. What happens to that woman's self-esteem when they are older. How many of these women are still able to earn a money as a stripper when they are 30? 40? 50? 60?
These women get used to a big amount of money, and if they don't make the money from being a stripper what career options do they have?

Of course it's wrong. Morally, you're making others known that you are a cheap slut, good for one thing only (you know what.), and available anytime, anywhere. Physically, you are damaging your body and self-esteem. Yes, it does lead to prostitution, because anything that has to do with public sexual play always leads to prostitution.
Women give themselves a bad name once they submit themselves to suck lowlessness such as stripping. If they're so hungry for sex, they should wait to get married to the one they truly love and strip for them; not for guys or people who they meet one night and never see again. And also, if women want a decent job, there are so many different choices out there, besides stripping.

wrong or not wrong is up to the person doing the dancing and the person watching the dancing...all others can go to hell.
i dont think the dancing is what leads to prostitution and drug use...i think the likelihood of the TYPICAL dancer to get involved in either prostitution or drug use is the key. i think most females turn to dancing when they have little hope left in terms of taking care of themselves...(this is not the ONLY case, but it is a COMMON case.)
from that point, i think the prostitution and the drugs just follow in the steps when the outlook seems bleak.

This is one area where religious tradition would tell you not to tread! God made us naked. The first noticeable effect of the fall was shame and a feeling of a need to cover our bodies. God replaced Adam & Eve's fig leaves with furs. This probably also reflects a change of climate following the fall. In the colder parts of the world, the necessity of clothing has become synonymous with people's desire for a right relationship with God. It doesn't have to be that way. You can worship God naked and you can even use your naked body to worship God. You will accused of all sorts of evil by many Christians, but it doesn't mean they're correct. If you follow your ambitions & dreams you might find it difficult to find a priest who understands & accepts you & you almost certainly will find yourself rejected by other Christians. If you believe you can hang on to your faith, then by all means give it a try. There's nothing in scripture to say that nakedness or dancing is lewd, that is simply people's opinions. What matters is the relationship you have with God. OK, there is risk it could lead you into sin. Scripture tells us to avoid sin & the appearance of sin, but it also says that when we do sin we still have access & relationship with God because of the death of Jesus & he pays the price for our sin. Anyway, that's the way I see it & I'll just have to hope it's right. Personally I stay within the church fellowship & don't tell them what they can't understand or cope with. My confession is to God through Jesus & not to any human being.

One becomes a stripper and gets on a curcuit, that is a route, your living off your tips which may reach 500 bucks a night so there is a hugh temptation to blow some of this money up your nose. If you can avoid doing anything so stupid, your ahead of the game and able to choose your lifestyle. It has been done but you need to have respect of your self first to attempt it. As a male, I admire girls who attempt do this and would love to have a girlfriend who respected her body enough.
