Aside from the Bible, I would have to say Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It is a story of the March Family, four sisters and their mother living through the first world war. It is wonderful and has so many lessons. Every sister has unique qualities and it just doesn't make one sister more important than the other, it tells each sister's tale of life and their lessons. I love that book, I know it nearly by heart and I have read it about four times, thought I know what is going to happen, I just love reading it!!!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. It's not a children's book despite what the title may suggest. It was however written from the perspective of a child with autism. I had to read it for my college English I class. I never liked reading before that but I really couldn't put it down. Finished it in three days. :)

Well most of my books have been all been required reading, but I really enjoyed "Ishmael" about a gorilla, he's actually the narrator, and for teenagers a great book to read would be "holes" or the "outsiders"

Choices. I forgot the author because it's a long name..but it's about 4 women who have the same case of being pregnant on;y different situations. Like, having the baby but the dad left, high blood pressure, they can't have a baby cause they're too young, things like that. It's a really good book about normal life and normal casualties. I really liked it. =)

"Hawaii" by James Michener. I like Hawai'i, the book is historical fiction about it, it is verrrrrrry long, but it is compelling reading. The first chapter is as poetic as prose can be. His characters are all well drawn, and drawn on actual people, he treats love between characters beautifully. Great book, not so great movie.
