How can I tell if a new internal hardrive will be compatable with my Dell Inspiron 5150?

Dell Inspiron 5150 uses standard size 9.5mm, 2.5" hard drive with an IDE/ATA interface.

So, ANY hard drive matching those carateristics would work.

You can find in your inpiron 5150 documentation the procedure to change it, else you can find it on their support website...

Good luck

Plug it in, and find out!

Really, the hard drives all work in computers, unless the older system won;t run the new technology of the new drive! Example is that you get a genuine SATA drive, but need the controller card with the special cables required to run the drive!
