I have a black top stove and I use a razor blade to scrape off hard to clean spills. You can then use stove top cleaner (I get mine at Sears) to finish the job and make the stop top shiny.

Flat top stoves require a special type of cleaner. DO NOT USE REGULAR CLEANING PRODUCTS!!! If you do, it will ruin the stove forever. My cleaner comes in a small bottle and it's a whtie ,thick cleaner. Some should have come with their stove. If you can't find the right cleaner then try turning the burner on very low and letting it burn itself clean.

If they just bought it chances are it came with a special cleaner for the glass top it comes in a small white bottle and looks like Soft Scrub. Use a non abrasive scrubbing sponge and follow the directions to the LETTER. Good luck

I also have a black flat top stove we use "WHINK "Glass Ceramic Cook Top Cleaner which we buy from Sears so my advice is leave it until it totally cools down so you can get this if not use a damp cloth NOT A SCOURER we use a soft acrylic (pink) scourer not the regular green one ....good luck

Check the owners manual. If it doesn't tell how to clean this, check for a number to call. I would think just letting a damp cloth sit on it for awhile might loosen it.
Good Luck

soak a rag in vinegar, place it on the stain, wait about a half hour, then wipe it off. If that doesn't work move out of state.

spray oven cleaner, wait for apprx. half hour then wash with dish soap and water, if it still does not come off, use a s.o.s. pad -that should do the trick.
