if you are talking about a guitar chart it probably indicates a barre chord. If you are not familiar w/ these I highly recommend you look into them (google, etc) as they are EXTREMELY useful.

Most likely it means it's a bar chord. Hold down all of the strings on the lowest fret in the chord with your first finger and then use the remaining three fingers to place them in the right spots according to the chord chart. Trust me these are tricky, so if you don't get the chord right away, keep trying! ^__^

That's a bar chord. You simply press your finger across all six strings and strum the chord. There are some chords you play with a bar across and one extra note with another finger, especially in blues.You usually play a bar chord with your middle finger, and it takes a bit of practice to hold all six strings down snugly so you don't get a buzzing sound.
It's like a capo, only you do it with your finger.

Yeah I play guitar, it happens to be a bar chord. Cuz sometimes you dont just play with the tips of your fingers, u gotta twist them in these crazy *** ways to play the song. U Dig?

First pray it's a misprint. I can hold 6 strings down at one time, but not six fingers on one hand. Or, have you vision checked immediately.

It a Mu chord (perfect 2nd) often requires all six fingers.

Is this on the guitar?It's called a bar chord.Its very comonly used
for chords like B,F,F#m,Bb,Bm,B7,G#m and more,or it means that 1 finger bars over 2 strings,you use that for these chords C6,Csus4,B7,F#m,Asus4C#7,C7,Dm7 and probably more.Hope this helps!!!!!!!! :)

It means that one finger will be holding down 2 frets. I'm assuming you meant guitar

well it depends on the chord. so its probably telling you to hold down 6 fingers to make a certain chord.
