totally hypothetical story i was thinking about.
say a teenage girl around 14 gets pregnant she wants to keep the baby but she knows that her mom will make her abort it, so she hides the pregnancy from her mom till its too late for an abortion. grandmas mad, mamas living with friends, BUT babys born happy and healthy.

oh and pamela i was 23 weeks preg and in a size 5 jeans with my second child!!!! i didnt look the slightest bit preg!

You did say this was hypothetical and you're using this information to write a book right? So why is everyone answering as if it were true? You can be 26 weeks pregnant and not show ( i was) - yes it's not good to keep lies, one should always be able to tell the truth, blah blah, but unfortunately there are situations where people, especially kids, can't tell the truth otherwise there can be drastic, violent outcomes. I'm sure that your book, there are plenty of people that have gone through this and maybe one or two books written about it but there isn't a trademark on "ideas" or lifes happenings. Just don't have the teenage mom pretend to the new born child that she is his sister and HER mother is HIS mother ( get it, like the babies grandma acts as the mother, becasue the real mother is too young, so the real mother pretends she's the sister) that's been done a lot and in fact how Jack Nicholson was raised...

No im not going to call the 14 yr. old a whore or anything or lecture you about how she shouldnt be having sex. Yes she wanted to experence and see what its like. I know how she feels, I cant say exactly how she feels because im not preg. but i do know people who are. My friend she is 16 & she was going to try but she ended up telling and she got kicked out and lives with her mother now. But i think the girl should tell her parents. If her boyfriend is going to be behind her the whole time then she should go for it. If she has the emotional, phyiscal, mental, and financal capibility for it then she should do it. Expecially if they are really in love. But if its just young love and everyone knows its not going to last and he is going to leave her or if he already did then i think she should abort the baby (im totally against it but it may be whats best for the baby). Or she should give it up for adotion if she is not ready to have it.

Say she did abort the baby. What next? She wouldn't be able to live with herself. I know I couldn't. It is an all to common scenario. The women falls into deep depression soon afterward. The doctors say"It's only the hormones", but in her heart she knows that she could have handled it somehow, she could have kept her child and done the right thing. New scenario. Girl keeps child. It is a truly wonderful thing to have children, you feel in those brief first moments a sense of pride and unlike anything you ever could imagine possible.

I feel that it is not okay to keep this secret from anyone. I do however feel that someone should be told and this person would sit down with the daughter and the mother and talk about the situation at hand and how she should not get an abortion. Specifically a person who is a professional psychiatrist or someone professional in this field who can help.

my brother in law and his girlfriend had there first child when they were 14 they waited to tell the parents but also planned on adoption they ended up keeping the baby now she is 8 years old beautiful very smart and has a great future ahead of her sometimes no matter how young you are you have to make your own choices . the sad part of my story is that my sis in law was murdered 3 weeks ago and she was pregnant with there 3rd child

Well, her mom cannnot make her abort her child, that is illegal, all she has to do is call the cops, and they will take her into custody or place her somewhere where she can get help..and sweetie unless the girl is like 400 lbs there is no way you can hide a baby for 22 weeks.
