first of all a mountain lion and a cougar are the same cat.
in the wild I would want to be a Male African Lion for 2 reasons.
1. the ladies do the hunting.
2. you have all of the ladies ;)
in captivity I would want to be a Liger, they can grow to 1400 lbs and be up to 12 feet long.

Jaguar. A saw a black one(aka black panther) in a zoo once and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Plus they have the most powerful bite of all the big cats. Usually they take down their prey by biting it through the skull
