Why are people always sticking up for these people? I am so confused....some people think they have served their time so they should be free to do whatever they wish without conviction or judgement of others. They are never cured of their sicko thoughts!!!!!!!!!! hello

I agree w/ you there 100%. Once a sexual predator , always one. There isn't no was to rewire their brains to think differently. Alot of people blame it on drinking and drugs .... okay they both are proven to bring to the surface subconcious feelings the person was having anyways. I believe they should all be castrated.

I agree these people are horrible, but I don't see a lot of people "sticking up for them."

I think anyone accused of such a crime deserves a fair trial like anyone else. But the larger issue is that the definition of "rape" is very broad. As has been mentioned, we really need a way to distinguish the child rapist from the 18 year old who's arrested for sleeping with his 17 year old girlfriend just because her parents are angry and well connected.

I'm all for the sex-offender database, but let's realize that not all sex offenders are created equal, and focus our attention on those who truly merit scrutiny.

Incidentally, just to throw a little wrench in the works, the recidivism rate for most sex offenders is actually lower than the recidivism rate for the general prison population. As a society, we may decide that longer sentences are merited, but if so, let's change the laws.

once somebody has served their time they are free, and this is why: There is a fundamental theory behind our legal system called "The Rule of Law". That theory says a few different things, but one of those things is that a person cant be punished by the state unless they have broken the law.

This means a sentencing judge can only give a punishment for the crime actually committed, not ones that may be committed in the future. If courts were allowed to sentence all of us for crimes we MAY rather than DID committ, our societies would be a lot less free than they are.

For this reason, once a person has served their sentence, they are as free, with some exceptions. Most people are released early, so they serve some of their sentence on parole in the community purely so their re-entry in to society can be closely monitored. This happens frequently with child sex offenders, but all we hear in the media is "Sex offender released early": it never says WHY people are released on parole.

Everybody is willing to criticise the criminal justice system, but nobody is willing to educate themselves about it before they do so. You have a right to be angry - but if you take the time to learn about your legal system you'll find most law and order problems are exaggerated by politicians and the media.

hi. i became examining a thread from some random web site. It were given me a touch fired up. Do you imagine that kid molesters and rapists deserve a 2d probability to stay in society? Why or why not? What are the possibilities they're going to strike back? i might want to oftentimes say certain to giving people a 2d probability even as someone does something incorrect yet newborn molesters are a special breed. "those people are the scum of the Earth". the possibilities they're going to molest yet another newborn are very very extreme WHY? "because it really is who they are". Their brains are stressed otherwise that makes them see babies as sexual products to be manipulated via them for his or her personal egocentric sexual needs. they are predators and also you won't be able to offer a predator a 2d probability or it truly is going to chew your ******* hand off. ok, what if the molester is a 16 12 months old boy who sodomizes a 9 12 months old? Forgiveness or no forgiveness? considering he's so youthful i might want to assert he will want lots and many psychological treatment and can want to need to assert remote from babies for existence. per chance then i might want to forgive him yet by no ability forget what he did.

Sticking up for these people? I've never seen a group so negatively looked on by society in my life. I'm not sure who you're listening to, but they're pretty much bottom of the barrel around where I'm at.

The crime are heineous, but once a person has served their time, the justice system can't continue to convict them. Other people can choose to judge or not judge based upon their own opinion and society CAN choose how they are treated -- but if their sentence doesn't lock up the criminal forever we there's not much else we can do.

the National Child Safety Act was passed in July '6,, so the child molesters are now hunted by police investigators, FBI, CIA,, they should all run like hell because America will not allow their children to be manipulated by these degenerates of society to live here,, minimum sentences 20-25 years,,,,

Ok, here's something to dwell on. You say these people cant be cured, well neither can the rest of the crooks. Drug dealers get busted and they're right back on the street selling. And hey, what they sell often kills children. Why aren't they put on SEX OFFENDER lists???!@!!!!!!!!!!!!! They violated a childs body by the drugs, but oh, that would cut out a lot of money in the usa. Why we could'nt have drug dealers with their pictures on the net, everyone would know who and where to buy their drugs. Prostitutes can't be cured, same deal.
As for sticking up for these people, I dont stick up for the ones actually out here VIOLENTLY having sex with young whatever, but I do stick up for the ones who are merely accused of it yet are persecuted everyday of their lives.
Let me enlighten all of you.
ELVIS PRESLEY (AS IN THE ROCK SINGER) WAS 26 WHEN HE MET PRISCILLA . AND SHE WAS 15. WHY DONT EVERYONE GO OUT AND BURN HIS RECORDS, HE'S A PEDOPHILE!!!!
JERRY LEE LEWIS MARRIED HIS 13 YEAR OLD COUSIN
BILL WYMAN OF THE ROLLING STONES DATED A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL WHEN HE WAS IN HIS 40'S AND LATER MARRIED HER.
JERRY SEINFELD DATED A 17 YEAR OLD GIRL
WHY DON'T YOU LABEL ALL THESE GUYS PEDOPHILES???
IT'S WHAT THEY ARE. But oh it's different with them, they are celebrities. IT'S CALLED A ******* DOUBLE STANDARD.
It's the pot calling the kettle black.
And did you know up until the turn of the century, this country THIS COUNTRY as in the usa, had places called PEG HOUSES where men could go and get preteen boys for anal sex? The boys sat on wooden pegs to keep their butt holes stretched right so it would be easy to get in.
Oh and before you start your BIBLE THUMPING, let me lay it on you about your so called Christian Doctrine. Read numbers 31: 17 and 18.

I'm fairly "liberal" where death penalty laws are concerned but I DO think there are certain cases where it should be encouraged.... anyone who deliberately harms a child in any way, and chronic mass murders like Charles Manson, etc.
"Serving ones time" should only apply to criminals who can be rehabilitated.

More severe punishments must be meted on rapists and child molesters because they detroy the person of the victim psychologically for life.
