In my opinion it's a song that tells you that it's okay to grieve for a loved one that has passed on, and it's all right to keep on living your life, since you are safe with the knowledge that he/she is always in your dreams, in your heart, no matter what.

In my opinion, it is a love song sung to a loved one who has passed on. The lyrics are like a comfort to the loved one who has passed that I, on earth, will be OK and not to worry about me. Its like telling the loved one after their death that I will live my life and be alright, and they dont have to worry about me while they are on the other side. Also that we will be together again someday
