I am going to New York to see Oprah Winfrey, The Color Purple play. What on earth do I wear?

Going to New York wow. My daughter and I took a trip there in June to see Julia Roberts in Three Days Of Rain. If this is your first time seeing a Broadway play is something you will never forget.
Wear loose but kind of dressier clothing. You will have to sit for a while so something comfortable but most people do wear nice clothing. Like a skirt and comfortable top. Depending on your age maybe a nice paint suite. Good luck and have fun.

Smart and simple! Be comfortable!
If you don't have something suitable to wear, go visit your local Good Will Store you will be surprised at what you can find for very little cost and you can have fun dressing up with a friend to help you decide of what is "perfect"
"little black dress" is always something you can dress up or down, wear day or evening. Pearls go well with a black dress.
long skirt and top, high heels, assessorise with matching purse and shoes. Perhaps a wrap or jacket
Top and slacks with hich heels.
White shirt left open a few buttons with a man's tux is very smart if you have a neat little figure and team up with sparkly broach or earrings or a velvet ribbon around your beck with a sparkly broach clasping it at your throat.
Only you will know your jewellery is fake!
Relax and have fun!
