Ooo..I was in the same situation when I was a freshman! But luckly it gets better. I got to meet alot of very nice people other than my lil group of friends. Believe me...on the first day, everyone is nervous and scared. You all have something in common, just put a smile on wherever you go and try to strike up a convie with the person next to you. Just have confidence in yourself and with that, you can do ANYTHING! Good Luck!

Get there early and start to chit chat with whoever sits next to you. Don't force yourself on them either, just flow with it. Say hello to anyone you make eye contact with. And make sure your hygiene is in check. Bad hygiene in high school is a first day killer. Don't make yourself stick to anyone necessarily, rather be a free spirit before the rest of the crowd decides where you belong. Be outgoing on the first day.

Stay away from pettiness. It has a serious way of biting you back later in life, with a vengeance.

On the second day, take a step back and let people kinda come to you. You did your work, now let new strangers work towards you.

On most of all, keep your friends - the good ones - closer to you than ever. Your going to need them.

well believe me the first day opf school is the hardest but once you get into your classroom you'll find someone who you'll want to float right to...no literally. When I had first got into class we were called by our last names for attendence and sent to other rooms. I was left in the room with two people who shared the same last name as myself. It's Ironic that we are still good friends now. Believe me when I saw this. Once you get into the school and met your friends you will be ready to work with the new people in your classes and ready to make new friend. Good luck and I KNOW you'll have lots of fun. Oh, and get some sleep you'll need to for school. I don't start school until sept 18th.

It won't be easy at first. Maybe you'll be in "working groups" and you'll get to know people that way. There are alot of people in the same boat as you, including your new teachers. Plus you'll see your old friends throughout the day and can start to network with them. Good luck, you only go around once, make the most and do well in school.

First thing you need to do ... dont try to fit in so much .. think about what you are going to wear? make sure you figure out the social fabric of your high school ... it is better to be a loner than to hang out with fags or geeks.... be prepared to loose your middle school friends...every one you know will change dramatically... look out for yourself first and foremost..Your freshmen ... keep your eyes open and shut your mouth.. a lot of freshmen act like they are the **** ... if you do that you will get a beat down in the long run... keep a low profile until you figure everything out.. be careful who you associate with..

when it comes to grades... study at least 3 hours a day at first and then see if you can lower the time. dont party too much at first. you can party your junior and senior year. start working out as much as you can right now if you do , you wont get pushed around..

dont be nervous ... dont make it so obvious that you are a freshmen for example carrying a school map around.. dont carry a huge backpack all the time... keep your books in your locker..

dont take classes such as speech that are filled with seniors and juniors ... and last but not least, make sure you dont get labeled as a freshmen so once again dont talk too much it s a very freshmen common kind of a mistake... keep a low profile at first...especially as a freshmen.... good luck

Just remember. A lot of the other kids in your classes are experiencing their first day of high school too. Just be yourself, and be friendly. You'll make friends. I loved high school. Hope you do too.

Frosh meat your mine! followed by maniacal laughter! HA HA ! you might as well show up naked for all the good it will do! Or you could just show up and learn something and have fun... your choice, treat everyone as your friend and the ones that matter will and the ones that don't matter won't....
