A poem about making choices?

Question

My boyfriend is having alot of troubles with his career right now, wants to give up, try something else. I want to leave him a note, with a poem, saying that whatever he does i will support him 100% does anyone have any ideas?

Half the world is going to mention "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, so I'll offer an alternative. Try "The Song of Roland" (which is pretty long) or Hamlet's "To be or not to be" soliloquy.

You could also offer up a synopsis of Voltaire's _Candide_, whose central theme runs along the lines of "Everything happens for the best in the best of all possible worlds."

Or maybe you was needed

For a life about to end

To care for and to cherish

A body that wouldn't mend



The road you chose was rocky

You stumbled along the way

But had it been too easy

You wouldn't be who you are today.
