kinda. a neighbors house caught fire one evening. i called 911, the local news wanted to talk to me to find out what i saw.
which i thought was IMPLIED since...duh...it was a house fire, ppl aren't stupid. what did they expect me to say, pink elephants came flying out of the chimney? what did they think i would see!?
but they interviewed me anyways...went something like this.
"so Mrs. ___ can you tell us what you saw".
"What your seeing now, smoke, and flames."
"What was your state of mind?"
what kind of stupid question is that..its not my d@mn house...what am i suppose to say....
so i said, "My neighbors are away on vacation, so i knew no one was home. i opened their gate and let their two dogs out. and then called 911.i was relieved no one was home during this."
and what i was thinking was... *OMG the wind shifted and my house could be next!*
it was pretty lame.but i guess it would be with an unwilling interviewee.

I only appeared on a crappy Access station in my local town, but MAN... even just that and all kinds of people were coming up to me and telling me they say me on TV. I was like "Damn, I didn't think anyone every watched that stupid station." I can't image how overwhelming it must be to get on REAL TV and be seen by millions. I knew only one guy who was in an audience on the Price is Right... they focused on him for a second, but it was nothing. There was a girl who posts at the Kelly Clarkson message board that won a show on MTV called "My Own" and she seemed to get some good attention after appearing on that as a contestant, but I think she was already going after a singing career (so not sure how much impact the show had on her success).

Yes, I was on the local news. There was a tragic murder down the street from my home and I went down there to start a memorial and I got attacked by cameras. Had I known they were there I would have waited. I was a bit aggrevated and just wanted to do my good deed. I also ended up on the front page of the newspaper the next day

Not yet, but I'm trying out for American Idol on September 8th, and if I make if past the first 2-3 auditions (before auditioning for Randy, Paula, & Simon you have to do two or three different auditions or something) and get to audition for the three judges, I might be on tv! Yay!! I'm so excited!

When I was 8, I appeared on a local show. They showed Popeye cartoons and interviewed each child in the seats on stage. There were about 16 and they talked to you individually and introduced you. Although it scared me to death, it was pretty cool.

I appeared twice in the Sixties on the old Captain 11 Show in St. Louis, MO. They had birthday parties on TV back then, and one of my good friends had invited me. I remember getting to see the second episode myself (they taped two shows)... and I noticed I was throwing my orange peelings under the bleachers... geez, I was embarrassed!
