it's like soldering, only acetlyne and oxygen is used to get a hotter flame,. hot enough to melt copper. you use silflos rod, which is part silver.

it'a about the best weld for air conditioners, though soldering can work.

Brazed connection are done with a flame and filler wire.

For A/C connections, you can use a propane torch and silver solder. (low temp.)

brazing is the term used when brass is used to fuse the joint...
like in welding when steel or aluminum is liquified to fuse the two parts together....

soldering = solder (lead)
welding=steel, aluminum, stainless
brazing=brass

It is a type of solder used in copper pipe connections. I have 10 thumbs so that's all I can tell you.
