Aw s*it! I thought it was Monkey grease and elbow spit!
:oO (Oooops! Wasted a monkey there!)
I suggest lemon juice for all kinds of degreasing and bleaching, but bear in mind that it really is an acid, so do a spot test and leave for ages, before using it.
Vinegar does the same job, is cheaper but smells way worse! Useful in the loo, with some hot water to activate it, but not so much it really dilutes it. Believe it or not, gone-off milk will have the same effect.. don't ask HOW I know that!
If you keep the vinegar, after de-scaling the kettle with it (1/2 vinegar & 1/2 water, boil, leave to rest) the limescale in it makes it a good degreasant/scourer.

If you have a shower cabin full of stains from shower gel and shampoo you can easily clean it by spraying normal vinegar. It works fabulously ;)
If you want to clean the microwave, put a bowl of water (you can ad lemon to make it smell better) in the microwave for 5 min, use the highest level then wipe off all the dirt ;)

The oil from a citrus peel, like from an orange or lemon, can be used to make wood glossy. Lemon juice is used to clean wood, counter tops, etc. Vinegar can be used to clean copper, brass, and other metals. Wiping shaving cream on your mirrors in the bathroom before taking a hot shower prevents them from steaming up. Hope I have helped.

Bleach is good for disinfecting toilets, sinks, countertops and the like. Amonia is good for windows, floors and for anything that can't be bleached. Dish washing liquid is good for all the above, except for windows. Lots of hot water and elbow grease combined with any of the washing solutions will give you a clean house and not pollute our enviornment.

Everyone is right about white vinegar. It's amazing and safe for the environment. For toilets I would recommend coca cola. (Just a cupful or two). Leave it overnight and if you have limescale it disappears by morning!
