Honest and Sincere answer - Woodward Oklahoma. Town of around 14,000. Great school system, and welcoming, friendly people. For a rural town in NW Oklahoma we have 4 Chinese and 7 Mexican restraunts. It is mainly a White and Hispanic town but with a growing Asian influence. We have both Chinese-American and African-American Doctors. The community puts on several activities for children and families many many times a year. There is of course always some idiots that aren't as accepting, but nothing overt. Woodward has a very low crime rate. Come live here and get involved in the community. It's small town values will be a real help to the moral values for your children. I'm a single dad raising 2 grade school boys. I have lived in Oklahoma City and the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area and moved back where I grew up. Woodward is the ideal place for you to come and be welcomed. So.. Howdy Neighbor!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I hope I answer this right. Do you possibly feel that way because of guilt or concern about how you are perceived more than what others are really saying or doing? Kind of like guilt by association...
If you are really looking for somewhere to get away, I suggest a smaller town or maybe find a community where someone with your same background lives....
I'm sorry that you feel like an outcast.

New York has got to be the place where everyone can feel at home because most people or their ancestors come from elswhere. I lived there the first32yrs of my life and never ever seen the racism I've seen elsewhere. And people dont really care who you are or what you do unless you mess with someone else. So try NY.

It depends on your country of origin. In an ideal world, I would say anywhere but we both know this is not an ideal world. Just read the stupid answer before mine. Get on the Internet and enter expatriate followed by your nationality. Hopefully you will find your answer. An example or two: German in Texas= west of San Antonio; Mexican= anywhere south of Pearsall; French= Louisiana; Polish = Minnesota. You get the idea

Move to a liberal CITY (not a small town or suburb either). Stay out of the "southern" states (and the "red" ones too!).
Liberal cities that I know of:
Madison, WI (large Hindu population)
New York, NY
Minneapolis, MN
San Francisco, CA
Seattle, WA
Portland, OR
Denver, CO
...furthermore, a lot of these cities have various ethnic neighborhoods that one can sort of feel "at home" in (i.e. Chinatown, Germantown, etc.).
Good luck!

Sadly,On a plane back that is eventually headed back to your country.
We are scared and untrusting, and even more so with 9-11.
Then again, reach out and make friends without worrying about what others think.
Most of us are pretty cool.

There are some large cities, like NY, Miami, Atlanta, where the people consist of a huge melting pot. I think that as long as you could live here legally, you should live wherever you want.

Not really. Although it is best to move to a mixed neighborhood. I know ours in northern California was pretty good most of the time.
Don't move to KC it sucks.

Massachusetts is a good place to live. We've got less bigotry than you'll typically find in other places.
