I am looking for unusual things to compliment her on so that maybe she will see how it feels to receive unusual and excessive compliments as well...any suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

Of course, of course I replaced the dishes! ...even before I asked it on here! And I didn't entirely break them that way; it was sort of an embellishment... ;)
I am just worried that the neighbor girl has become too attatched to me. I don't think I "lead her on," but I am polite to her as any other person...I don't really intend to tell her this stuff, but I don't know how to ask her to stop politely. I don't even know if I am supposed to ask her to stop because if it's usual for this I shouldn't. I don't know...

Try things like:
Wow! I really like those visible panty lines.
I love how you don't care that those pants make you look fat.
You're very brave to try that style, since it's not very flattering on anyone.
Nice mustache.
Or, you could get right to the point & say, 'It's wonderful that you're trying to make me feel appreciated, but the attention makes me a bit uncomfortable. Would you mind cutting back a little?'

Your attitude toward her is so cruel. I could never talk behind someone's back like that, and then turn around and eat dinner in their home; that is just rude and nasty. I think part of the situation is, yes, you do come from a country with different customs, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, you don't have the right to hold another country's customs against this girl. She is just acting like a normal Canadian or American girl would. If you don't like that and think it's too pushy perhaps you should stop wasting her time, and just be friends with those from your own country or those that share your unusual views. Though you won't find very many here. The vast majority of men here would be flattered to get the attention she is giving you, and a lot like it when they don't always have to take the lead, especially the young ones in their 20s and 30s. The other part of the problem is you say she is "trying too hard." What do you expect when you have been leading her on and haven't been honest with her. If there is anyone that has been acting odd here it is you, not her. Also, did you replace the dishes you broke of your mother's? A decent guy would and don't give any lame excuses. All of us have already heard them.

I think you really you missed the boat on this. Not being there to hear her tone of voice I will still guess this girl likes you.
A LOT.
She compliments you in the hope you will notice her.
What's wrong with a little gratitude?
You want her to stop because you don't like her. Admit it man, you don't like that girl and you resent saying thank you to someone you don't like.
Maybe you just need to let her know you have a girl of your own.
DO you?
Maybe just once you could say, "Thanks for the compliment, if you'll excuse me I need to meet my girlfriend in a few minutes."
That might let her down easy, and inform her you have someone else.
Give her a chance to go find some other person who might appreciate her compliments, you sure don't.

I'm afraid this will only encourage her. Obviously she likes you and wants to win your interest. You may need to bluntly tell her you are not interested and her compliments are making you uncomfortable.

I really don't think she will get the hint, no matter how far fetched the compliment. Next time she compliments you, just say, "no, really, you think my green teethare cute?" Then, "You're really reaching." That'll give her the clue.
