Pop the hood of your car. Look for the cap that says either put coolant here or put antifreeze here. Something along those lines. Twist the cap off. Next twist the cap off your coolant and pour it into the opening. Ask your local auto parts store whether or not you need a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water. Once it is filled. Screw the cap back and shut the hood.

Look for the overflow bottle. This will be connected by a small hose to the radiator just below the cap.
The over flow bottle will have lines that indicate "FULL HOT" and "FULL COLD" on it. The fluid inside (if there is any) will be green or more likely orange. If it is green you can use any antifreeze (diluted half and half with water). If it is orange, use "LONG LIFE" or non-phosphate coolant.
Fill the overflow bottle to "FULL COLD" line. You may have to do this a couple times as the cooling system purges air out of the system (it does this thermodynamically all on its own, so all you have to do is make sure there is sufficient coolant in the overflow bottle).
If none of this makes sense take it to Wal-Mart and get the expensive oil change and tell them you think your coolant level is low. They'll top it off. Do this through a couple three oil changes, and you'll be good. ...unless you got a leak. Then take it to a radiator shop.

in case you have not all started the motorized vehicle yet all the coolant is laying contained in the bottom of the oil pan. The coolant is heavier than oil and is laying contained in the bottom of the pan. Take the plug contained in the oil pan loose and back it out till eventually the antifreeze begins operating out or perhaps as it quits operating and also you commence getting oil then you truthfully can force it to the broking service to get it replaced. The little bit which could nevertheless be in there received't damage it. I had a blown head gasket on my automobile and it leaked antifreeze previous the rings into the oil and made the oil milky and it did not damage the engine yet I placed a sparkling head gasket on and adjusted the oil and it nevertheless ran for a lengthy time period. I had a diesel generator set out facet for about a million.5 years and when I checked the oil it became way too severe. I sponsored the plug out like I defined above and water all started popping out. I drained about 2 gallons of water out of it then all started it up and were given the oil warm and adjusted the oil and it became ok also. good success.

There is a cap that says coolant but be very careful to fill it after the engine cools down. The cap should be on a plastic resevouir, called the overflow. Mix the coolant with water before you pour it in.

Typically, you will have a plastic container mounted under the hood and on the wheel well marked "coolant". You can also add coolant directly to your radiator by removing the silver cap (do it when the engine is cold, okay) and adding it there. You may have to drain the water as you add it in. Look for a drain at the bottom of the radiator- easy to finger screw and unscrew.

You look for the radiator cap which is usually up front so the wind can blow threw it to help keep it cool.
You unscrew the cap and fill it to the fill line.
It you can not see the water in the radiator, then put water in it first, then the coolant.
To much coolant isn't good for your engine and most grocery stores carry coolant testing kits in their automotive sections or you can go to the parts store and buy one.

Open the plastic canister under the hood. It will say caution do not open while engine is hot. Fill to the line that says coolant level cold, start engine and allow fluid to fill engine. Keep fluid level at the same level at all times. Good Luck

well,if your talking about air conditioning coolant... if you have the coolant i believe on that style that if you lift the hood there will be aluminum lines about 1/2 inch wide that have what look like a tire valve on them, thats where you put it in...
But if your talking about engin coolant you put it in on top of the radiator....
