No, I would say not a fault of the dealer. The Mustang has a service message from Ford for squeaking caused by the rubber park brake cable housing rubbing against the body, right in front of the driver's side rear tire. It will sound like it is coming from the rear seat area. I have seen this problem before. Nothing major, the dealer will be aware of the concern, tell them to check the Special Service Message's for your vehicle. The movement of the suspension while driving is enough to make the cable move back and forth and cause a squeak.
Update: For the poster after me, no we are not in a habit of using the parking brake, I never do. But, the installation of the car on a lift will cause the suspension to extend to it's full amount of travel, thus causing the park brake cable housing, which is mounted through the body) to extend through the housing in the body more than usual, think of it like hitting an unused portion of sandpaper, it's got more grit to it. More of a design problem, they never should have run a rubber coated cable through a sheet metal housing, a squeak is bound to happen.

Do you typically use your parking break? I would expect that a dealership mechanic is in good habit of using the parking break and if you don't usually use it, it may be sticking since they used it.
EDIT: Yeah, basically what he said, you never had a problem because you probably don't use it, thus they used it as standard practice, thus 'activating' the problem.

commen problem on these mustangs is the rear torsion bar , they crack and then you will hear the noise , you should be able to see it by looking under the rear of the car, long black bar that runs from wheel to wheel
