I definitely think more people are aware of Scientology as a result of Tom Cruise. I also think most people see Scientology as a weird cult since Cruise has done such bizarre things in the name of his religion.

Tom Cruise has inadvertently done the world a favor by being a loon on Oprah's couch, by telling Matt Lauer that he knows the history of psychiatry (he doesn't) and that he (T.C.) does. Look up "Tom Cruise is an idiot" on the web and you will get over 50,000 hits, including the one that debunks scientology. Its BUNK. Look up its history and you will figure it out for yourself. It is a CRIMINAL organization and like its practice of suing everyone that challenges it, it should be sued into bankruptcy.
