Pregnancy tests can give false positive and false negative reads sometimes, it's rare but does happen.
Call your doctor and have him confirm the test results with bloodwork.

I had that dilema a month ago... I've taken a pregnancy test on mid-June and found out that it was positive and on the last week of June..June29 to be exact I began to bleed I thought too maybe it was because of the sex but it didn't stop for two weeks. I went to see a doctor and found out there was something was with my pregnancy. It was an ectopic pregnancy.. and aside from the bleeding I was having massive pain on my left side. The doctors did some tests on me and finally decided to operate me to remove my baby from my left fallopian tube.
Pls. see a doctor to make sure everything is ok with you and your baby.. The conceiving moment is the most important part of your baby's development.
Take care.

First thing is to be sure the test turned positive during the appropriate time mentioned on the instructions. "Evap" lines can occur (which will appear that you have a positive test) if you are reading the test past the time frame noted.
If the test was positive within the allowed time frame you are DEF. pregnant. However, it is normal to sometimes have spotting during pregnancy.
It would also depend on the amount of blood loss. If it were spotting, heavy bleeding etc.
I would call your midwife/doctor and discuss your issues with them.
Good Luck.

spotting is normal during pregnancy. However, if it is bright red then that might be the first sign of a miscarriage.
In which case, I recommend also calling the doctor.
