I didn't realize that Yahoo had a check spelling function. I don't think that I need it, but some of these people really do.

Check Spelling is only relevant if you are typing using the American version of English. In addition, as a faithful user of spell check, many times when I try to utilize spell check, it is not available and I am told to try again later. I don't want to wait, I want to answer...So instead, I try to correct the speller in my answer.

Maybe people like to use a lot of slang and interweb speak. Like lol, rofl, etc. etc. Check spelling gets annoying, especially when the people only use maybe a one or two sentence for an answer.

Lazy. Although as someone pointed out to me earlier, the spell check doesn't work on the additional info section.

From personal experience, when I click "Check Spelling," either I wait until my patience gives (five or more minutes) or I get the dreaded "Page Not Found" error message. So, I self-check my spelling.
