yeah. chanting just hare krishna is no use if the person who is chanting is one of the people who answered before me.
it could be any religion's messenger - sri krishna, jesus christ, waheguru, allah. but chant it with love towards him (god is one). enormous love. and you would feel his power.
critics critics critics - there is a loose point in everything in this universe but try to grab the good point and that will make you a better person and help you live better life.

By the way, your question is in the wrong place. You would get more and better responses by putting it in the religion and spirituality category. Or....
Were you INTENDING to deceive people by getting them to chant your harmless little mantra, getting them to participate in worship before you let them know what they were doing...? That seems pretty low. Would YOU be willing to do that, not knowing what kind of spiritual influence you might be leaving yourself open to...?
