Hi There,
Im going to be flying into Kuala Lumpor airport in Malaysia soon, to catch a connecting flight. Unfortunately, the connection doesnt leave for another 5 hours after arrival, which means Im going to have to wait around the airport for this time.
Are there any layover hotels or lounges which charge a nominal by the hour fee where I can kill time, or anywhere more comfortable than the standard airport lounges to kill time, at this airport?

There are a lot of shops inside the departure hall which you can stroll and window shop. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants which sells both local as well as international food. Depending on what time you arrive, the airport area may not be that crowded and you should be able to find seats where you can lounge around and maybe take a nap. As in any foreign and public areas, take care of your belongings if you want to catch a snooze.
The airport is very nice and comfortable. I don't think 5 hours will be too long and it will pass quickly.

There are hotels nearby,but I dont think they charge by the hour. You can kill time at the airport, doing some shopping or just having a drink. The airport lounges are comfortable enough for you to kill time.

to just wait 5 hours is too long but to have fun for only 5 hours? you will regret not staying any longer in KL/Malaysia ! or worst still that you may even miss you connecting flight while having a great time here. Kermit given you some very good suggestion/advice ! Come back to Malaysia, i am very sure you wouldn't want to leave after one week ! We have so much to offer which include cool mountain, rain forest, excellent island with white sandy beaches n beautiful marine life, diverse colorful culture, good/delicious food, great bargain shopping, friendly people etc, only the weather a little hot n humid sometime come with heavy rain !

You can just explore the shops in the airport.
Our airport is magnificent.
Anyway, come to our country for a holiday.
You'll love the variety of things u can do.

go to Hard rock Cafe in KL. One of the best i've been to.
