i just want peace and tranquility and love and flowers and sugar and puppies and kittens and bunnies and stuff to descend upon yahoo answers and cheer them all up!! there is so much crap going on in the world lets make yahoo answers a place to escape to and make unconditional anonymous friendships....no fighting and bullying, just love love love....it seems like it but I am not high....really I promise just being weird old me but wouldnt it be nice eh? then again pigs might fly.

Some of us are even trying to learn a thing or two by asking (and answering) serious questions like "Do I need to pollinate my butternut squashes?" or "What is the best way to get a Russian girl into the UK?" or "How can I keep pigeons off my roof?" or "What's the best way to eat an Oreo cookie?"

As an atheist, I've responded, very frankly, to a number of theist questions and comments, when I felt that either a genuine request for information or an insight in my mindset was being made, or if I felt a statement had been made that simply could not be left unchallenged. Many questions I have just ignored, because they were just too stupid or banal. You are right, the chances of actually changing someones mind is very slim. But that isn't the point, I for one don't regard Answers as an evangelical platform, or even a serious forum for debate, it is for fun, and rattling the cage of bible-thumpers, at their own invitation, is fun. If you find it boring, why not just skip those questions or indeed that whole section.

if it doesn't interest you, why on earth would you read it?
the reason we cannot just leave it be, by the way, is that a large portion of the religious community in America wants to destroy the first amendment, removing all protections for Americans who don't share their (interpretation) of religion. This group would also like to enforce their values through law. these things are unacceptable and must be resisted. since christians like to pretend they have authority for this in some book that says they have authority, they must be confronted on this issue. it's really been great, lots more people reading the bible and finding out what a horror show large portions of it are.
read genesis 34 and check out the story of Dinah, and the actions of Jacob, known also as Israel.

So soooooooooory! I just have a built in prejudice against all God botherers, as they have the conceit to believe they are always right. From that perspective, I will have a go as it would appear to be my moral duty.. Seems fair to me and F U N love and peace to you too xx

No people are out of this world now they do and say crazy things for the smallest things for example girls fighting over boys they aren't worth it . No matter what people are going to act crazy not all people but most people

I agree, I have to admit that sometimes I get cranky when they come on and challenge everything, it makes me angry at them for doing it, and I guess that's why they do it, to get a response! I'll try to ignore them more, thanks for the reminder.
