You probably don't have herpes from your mother. You can check the medical websites on Goggle with the keyword of Herpes to make sure. You can learn about Herpes there also.

You can still get Herpes the same way your mother got them if you don't use a condom when you have sex with a partner. You are very susceptible to herpes like everyone else.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

I think the risks associated with herpes when giving birth mostly don't have to do with transmitting the virus to a baby. Risks have more to do with an impact on the eyes and mucous membranes. However, I certainly wouldn't recommend using the same bath towel as her, especially when she has an outbreak. If she had an outbreak, say, and you used her towel on your genitals, in the same spot she used to wipe her own genitals, then, yes, there is a chance that you could get it. In case she is interested, know there is a nice new drug out there called Valtrex that when taken everyday reducing the incidence of break outs and spreading the virus to others.

Well, your mom could have been shedding the virus when you were born, meaning that while she wasn't having a breakout, the virus was still active. If that's the case, you could have herpes and yes, you could be spreading it if you're sexually active. However, if the doctors gave you a blood test when you were a baby and it came up clean for herpes, you should be fine.

you extremely could seek advice from him. it rather is feasible that little ones can get herpes from their mom while passing during the beginning canal throughout the time of their beginning. it rather is unlucky. And particular, you easily can get herpes from kissing. it rather is much less in all danger (as unfavourable to sexual acts), yet extremely no longer remarkable. the only way you have the skill to inform for particular, is via asking him sweetie. sturdy luck =)

okay it is possible for you to catch herpes from your mom, but you are probably fine. When you go for your next pap smear tell them and they will check to see if you have it.
