After the jet landed, I disembarked and took a long, slow look at the world. Kimlin Top--Kimminee Koi Ko, to the locals--loomed like a great red beast, in repose against the Western Australia sky.

My Aboriginal guide, who I knew only as Kent, came running toward the plane. I was pleased to see him again, but he had a distinct look in his eyes. It was a look that I recognized as abject terror.

"Doctor Walters," Kent pleaded, "the bellbirds. They have come back."

I could feel the blood draining away from my face.

"My God," I said, "not NOW."

"I am sorry, Doctor Walters," Kent offered, apologetic. "I am just delivering the news. I know how hard it must be for you."

Indeed, I thought. How hard.

I thanked my pilot, and allowed Kent to take my shoulder bag and laptop.

Kent walked toward the Humvee; I hesitated on the tarmac. I thought about the bellbirds...what was I going to do about them? And for God's sake, why am I wasting so much time on Yahoo Answers?

Sounds like either you or a friend has been trying to write the next "Great Novel" and haven't quite been able to complete it.

Sounds like you need to just keep working that day job and either rip up your "manuscript" and forget about it, or start a completely different one.

What????

Ahh.....I thought this sounded slightly familiar but couldn't place it. Now that I've read the other comments I remember Stewie saying it. It really made me laugh.
"I'm not drunk. I'm just wicked tired from staying up all night drinking." That's one of my favorite lines form Family Guy.
I have a shirt that says it.
