The number is the engine's Identification number found on the driver's side of the block. There is another code also found in the same area perpendicular to the I.D. which is as follows "G1064" Could anyone tell me what this code means? Or What it is for?

The first number is part of the VIN of the car. This means this engine was either in a 2003 model vehicle or.... Lemme see, can't use I, Q or O. 1999 was Y, so if I did my subtration right a 1978 model year. The first digit is the model year, the rest is the 1 up number assigned to the vehicle.
Assuming the engine is a 2003, the G1064 is the model designation of the vehicle the engine was installed in. C is 2WD Chevrolet, K is 4WD Chevrolet a G is a 2WD GMC and a T is a 4WD GMC (though I might have those last two flipped...)
The 1064 indicates it was a >6800 # GVWR vehicle (the 10 part), but I'm struggling to remember what a 64 designation would be. I'm guessing it was from a GMC Savanna, because that's not a pickup or full size utility designation.
The other possibility is that its a '78 engine. Then it would have been from a Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal or Grand Prix, because the trucks used R and V in that period.
It is a Federal Requirement to mark certain high value components of vehicles for theft deterrence amongst other things.
...btw, the casting number would be eight digits long. GM uses 8 digit part numbers internally.

The 3358180 don't help. On the drivers side in the rear at the top of the block there are some casting numbers that would tell what block it is, and if you go back to the front on the passenger side you will want to look for some letters that will be like tdk at the end of some numbers. Don't pay too much attention to the numbers as often some builders will grind off the original numbers and stamp them with their own numbers. This is pretty common practice. You will need to get the three digit letters after the numbers to tell the original build of the engine. This may or may not help, since I'm inclined to believe the engine has been altered from it's original state. The numbers you are talking about describe the date of build, the vehicle the engine was built for, and the factory that built the engine, and the "T" means the factory was Tonawanda. You must have the three digit letters that follow, and the casting numbers off the back in order to tell any more about the engine

Get the casting # under the valve cover
for the head
the casting # you have is not listed
Check this site out for all the casting #'s
The T in front of the code stands for
Truck Engine..
The casting # you want is behind the intake just below on the top part of the block

That light can come on for 100's of reasons, some of them can drive you crazy throwing money at the problem. If you have an Advance or Auto Zone parts house they will run the code on the car for free. The problem with the codes are vague, and they can have you looking at several parts. Over 75000 miles it's more than likely a cylinder running too rich or lean, and that's something you wouldn't notice right away.
