I'd suggest calling the Neosporin people (check on the package for an 800 number).
The other thing to try would be the hand degreaser that mechanics use.

Do take pictures to laugh about later.
There are alcohol pads you can buy at the drugstore - or rubbing alcohol with cotton balls - which will help break down the grease.
But this advice: It's summer, and unless you have major pictures coming up or an audience with the Queen, just let it wear out by shampooing twice each night, and drying it with a washcloth and hair dryer (the cloth will help remove some of the grease).
As my beloved great - grandmother would say, "nothing shows on a galloping horse" (when I sewed my daughter a dress with a crooked hem.)..they move so fast, they go so quickly...no one bu you will notice. So let the hair just go and remind her that medicines are not to play with. This is not a tragedy, but could have been something really awful. Give yourself a break and don't try to make her "perfect" - she already is, even with greasy hair.

It will take several shampooings to get it out.
Neosporin is simply a triple antibiotic ointment mixed into petroleum jelly like vaseline.
Any time of shampoos that cut grease can be used but they are going to dry the scalp real bad.
Do small areas if you need to and keep the shampoo sudsy.

Pour baby oil on her hair and comb it through thoroughly. This should dissolve the petroleum jelly in the Neosporin. Then shampoo a few times to remove the oil.

I will not ever tell how I know this works but ... hand soap that cuts grease, like liquid lava or goop or the orange stuff hand cleaner and there is one other that is from Kesco and has walnut shells in it... but it is all the kind of stuff people use to cut grease off their hands.

The old remedy used when a girl got chewing gum in her hair was peanut butter or mayonaise. I wonder if that would work. Maybe take her to a hair salon, and see if they have any suggestions.

Try some vinegar, that might work, that's what my Mom used to use on us if we put lotion or a ton of conditioner in our hair. Dilute it with water though. Good Luck.
I think the white vingar would be your best bet.
P.S.- Don't put alcohol in her hair to try to get it out, it will damage her hair and the fumes will cause her eyes to burn. And be careful if you use one of the hand soaps for greasy hands, they are pretty harsh.

Just think, now she has the most antibacterial hair in the house. It will not hurt anything if you do not get it all out in one washing. Life with children is fun, isn't it.
