i am trying to lose weight by going to the gym and going on the runing machines but if i do weights will that not help me lose weight and get fit and slim

Lifting weight raises your metabolism ,so you burn more calories . That will make you lose weight. Also carrying more muscle from lifting weights requires more calories so again you lose weight.

Yes, by lifting weights also you will lose more weight, and quicker. More importantly, you will begin to convert body fat to lean muscle. Many people fear that they will get abnormaly big (mostly women have this fear), the fact is, you really won't. Without perfect genes and buckets of steroids you will not get freakishly huge. Lift weights in addition to cardio, just make sure to give at LEAST 24 hours between working a particular group of muscles.

Yes,weight lifting will help you to burn calories.but u should also do another exercise that will help u.
to reduce 1 pounds u have to burn 3500 calories.
check on yahoo search engines,how can u lose weights quickly
by different exercises.

make an office snack box of your own so you re not tempted by your colleagues candy bowl fill it with small individually packaged portions of soy chips almonds and dried fruit
