Zakk Wylde does an accoustic album called Book of Shadows that's really good. And if that's too "soft" try Black Label Society (Zakk Wylde's band)! It's hard heavy rock with great guitar riffs and bass drums! (btw - Zakk Wylde was Ozzie's guitarist and his voice has a nice gravel tone and pitch, similar to Greg Allman!)
I also like Stone Sour (Corey Taylor's other band) and Brand New Sin.
