Define best.....I remember splintering some expensive sticks, and then playing with a 10 year old stick I got from a coach and it was far better. It all depends on what you want from it. I remember a goalie who actually chopped the bulk of the handle off his stick so he could control the stick better wearing gloves. So the best brand of field hockey sticks.....whichever you like the most. Try them before you buy if you can, or try some teammates and find one you like.

personally, if you're in the position of goalie like I was gryphon is a nice choice and for the field all my teammates used cranbarry (I think that's the spelling)sticks.
