Rape is a crime. Check with your police and find out if there is a time limit in your state on reporting rapes. If that is what you want to do. I know you were 21 then and most likely scared but you have the right to report him. You can still press charges and get a good attorney to help you. This will not be easy case and you will have years of waiting for it to come to trial, if the police find any evidence that he may have a track record for this type of action. It is in your rights to charge him with rape.

Now if you don't want to charge him but you want to have help trying to cope with the rape, then you need a good psychologist and talk to him or her. It was not your fault and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Some doctors abuse their authority on young woman and girls Yes by all means seek help.

Who knows how many other women he did that too....best to speak up now and file a complaint or even talk to the cops about it and see what can be done. He could very well get his medical license taken away from him if he still practices.

Are you sure?
If this did occur this is a crime. If there is something else going on....you will destroy his reputation. Make sure you have all the facts it will be very hard to prove. But if he did it to you, he might have been doing this to patients for a long time.

ADVICE FROM A LAWYER IS A GOOD PLACE TO START
CIVIL LAW SUIT
SEEK COUNSELING
ALL ELSE FAILS HAND OUT FLYERS BY HIS OFFICE TO HIS PATIENTS ABOUT THE RAPE
ASK IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THEM
SEEK MASS MEDIA ATTENTION
START A SUPPORT GROUP FOR OTHERS LIKE YOU WHO HAVE HAD THEIR DOCTOR RAPE THEM
IT HAPPENS
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN OUR SOCIETY THESE DAYS

Seek a counselor and work through this. It would have been best to have reported him at the time, reporting it now would be difficult.
