The Cardinals are playing well right now, having taken 2 of 3 from the Reds and the Cubs (two teams that have been giving them fits all season). They have also played very well against the Mets this season, winning 2 of 3. With Pedro on the DL, and Glavine going through some kind of physical issues, I doubt either one will pitch in this series, which bodes well for the Cards. I look for the Cardinals to win at least 2 out of 3, if not sweep the series.

well as a mets fan i cannot help but say the mets will win! however, lets take a look at positional breakdown...molina is no match for lo duca, an all-star. pujols is a stud at first base, and delgado is nothing like i hoped he would be (batting a lowly .250) while pujols would be the MLB HR leader if not for his injury. both teams kind of have a hole at 2B, so discard that. i favor wright over rolen, but rolen is still good. reyes is the best short stop in the MLB right now because he has mild power, and is rapidly improving. not to mention his 50-some steals. in terms of outfield, i don't envy the cards OF minus jim edmonds. beltran is the only veteran in the OF for the mets though, so the youngsters are prone to make errors. i think the mets will take the first two, they're sending john maine to the mound tomorrow and probably trax after. the fifth rotation spot has been a black-hole all season long though for new york...

The Cardinals have been doing pretty good lately, but the Mets are gonna be tough to beat. Mulder is supposedly starting on Wednesday so that game is prolly going to be a little shaky since it is his first game back. Also, I don't think Eckstein will be coming back anytime soon so Aaron Miles better keep filling his spot nicely like he did today against the Cubs.

I know how you feel, i hope the Twins sweep the Oriols and the Whitesox once again, but to answer your question, If Albert is healthy then the Cards should have a good chance.
