I used to be a bartender in Durham, NC and Aspen, CO. Depending on the local liquor laws there (like if they forbid bars to sell on Sunday) there HAS to be a dance place, though at this hour maybe not.
According to the state laws there, nothing over 3.2 beer may be sold on Sunday (see page 8 of the first source) though individual cities and counties override this with home rule laws passed by the voters in a general or special election.
The regs in Minneapolis (see chapter 364.80 part (c) of title 14 in the Minneapolis Municpal code, second source link below) says that places that have a special Sunday license can serve "on-sale" liquor until 2AM Monday as long as food is served in conjunction. If this is like the NC law about non-private clubs having to serve food, this means that food has to be available to order at all times and some fraction of the site's total revenue has to be food. This meant that outside of private clubs, a lot of hotels with restaurants also ran night clubs. Some of these did OK with having decent fun dance crowds and some did not.
Next Sunday, look for clubs attached to hotels that are open, and maybe ask around to see which ones have good crowds.
